Last weekend, my son and I decided to try something a little different for our family day out – a round of mini golf at Putt in the Park, Battersea Park. Neither of us are golfers, but that didn’t matter – we were just looking for something fun, outdoors, and a bit competitive (he likes to win at everything!). I also wanted to do somethig a bit less fast paced than usual and can confirm that its a nice slow paced activity.

From the moment we arrived, the vibe was great. The course is tucked away in the middle of Battersea Park and feels like a little adventure trail, with bridges, streams, and fun obstacles. Elijah loved going ahead to see what the next hole looked like, and I’ll admit, I got a bit carried away trying to perfect my swing!
The course was just the right level – challenging enough to keep it interesting but easy enough that kids can enjoy it without getting frustrated. We laughed a lot, especially when the ball decided to go everywhere except the hole.
Prices & Family Options
I think the pricing is quite fair for a London family activity:
Adults: £14
Children under 15: £11
Family of four: £46
Since it was just the two of us, we paid separately, but if you’re going as a bigger family, the family ticket definitely works out better.

Final Thoughts
We spent about an hour on the course, and it was such a nice way to spend time together. It’s something a little different from the usual park trip, and because it’s in Battersea Park, you can easily make a whole day of it – picnic, playground, walk by the river, and of course, a round of mini golf.
We’ll definitely be going back (my son insists he needs a rematch because “Mum cheated” – his words, not mine!). If you’re looking for a fun and affordable family activity in London, Putt in the Park is worth a visit.
